MECH-MATE Motorpits are a heavy duty polyester resin moulding, laminated with 3 layers of 450 g/m² chopped strand glass matt. The tough resin gel-coated surface is colour (warm light grey) impregnated and easily cleaned with normal household liquid cleaners. The floor, side ledges and steps are further reinforced with 20mm laminated panels. The lighting and other recesses are also backed with the same material to facilitate fixing of units (customer supplied). Dovetail ribs are laminated to sides - providing stiffness and an additional locking mechanism between moulding and concrete backfill. The vacuum formed sliding seat and tool tray are moulded from 6mm High Density Polyethylene (HDP) - an extremely tough plastic. The mesh bugscreen rolls out under the timber boarded cover (not supplied) to prevent insects (can’t climb back up smooth sides) and debris entering the Motorpit. Non-slip tape for steps and hazard tape (open pit warning) further enhance the safety of a MECH-MATE Motorpit installation.

Comments: When using a running/working lamp in these Mech-Mate pits, the lamp must operate at a maximum voltage of 24 volts.
When lighting is installed (provided by the customer) in these Mech-Mate pits, this lighting must always be impact-resistant.
