Many people put their vintage or classic car away for a long time, this can cause flat spots on tyres. Flat spots on tyres cause vibrations to even a rough bumpy ride, in severe cases even a longer braking distance. Flat spots on some modern low-profile tyres won't even go away. Therefore, use tyre shoes under your tyre to avoid flat spots on your expensive tyre.

 

This tyre shoe size 20 is suitable for tyres up to 185. This size of tyre shoe is deliberately made 20 cm wide, to easily ride on and off with wide tyres. Thus, it is also large and heavy enough that it stays in place. Tyre shoes can be used all year round. To easily ride on and off them, ramps are provided, front and back, with sloping sides.

 

These tyre shoes are made of elastic PU-bonded rubber granulate. Due to the special moulding process, the tyre shoe adapts to the tyre and not the other way around. The tyre shoe is harder on the ramp and softer on the round side (the contact surface). Thus, different diameters of tyres can be considered. When the tyre is embedded in the tyre shoe, the pressure on the tyre is much better distributed due to the much larger contact surface. Thus avoiding a flat spot on the tyre.
